2007 war eine Gruppe von Student_innen dazu eingeladen, in den Ausstellungsräumlichkeiten der masc foundation über mehrere Monate zum Thema „Cross Borders“ zu arbeiten. Die entstandenen Arbeiten wurden am Ende in einer Ausstellung gezeigt.
Titel: „Südpol, Executive Committee +4181“
Die Installation zeigt die Erde mit ihren Kontinenten spiegelverkehrt an den Wänden. Der/die Betrachter_in steht am Südpol und blickt nicht etwa auf die
Welt, sondern vom Erdmittelpunkt nach außen in die Weltordnung.
Die Baggerschaufel transformiert symbolisch den Eingriff von außen nach innen, die vorhandenen Strukturen werden dramatisch verändert. Gleichzeitig ist die Maschine Verbindungsglied zur vorgefundenen Situation – vor dem Gebäude wurden Bauarbeiten getätigt.
An der Auslagenscheibe angebrachte Dias werden von außen als strenges Rastersystem wahrgenommen. Gleichzeitig dienen sie der Sichtbarmachung der Vielfältigkeit auf der Erde. Das Tageslicht gleitet in den dahinter liegenden Raum und erhöht ihn wie eine Kathedrale, durch deren Glasfenster buntes Licht ins Innere strömt, das Kirchen in transzendente Räume verwandelt.

2007 a group of students were invited to work on the theme "Cross Borders" in the exhibition spaces of the masc foundation over the course of several months. The resulting works were exhibited at the end of the residency.
Title: "South Pole, Executive Committee +4181"
The installation shows the earth with the continents inversely presented on the walls – the viewer stands at the South Pole and does not look at the world, but rather looks out from the earth's center to see the world order.
A dredging shovel symbolically transforms the intervention from the outside to the inside, the structures on hand are dramatically changed. At the same time the machine serves as a link to the situation on site: construction work was taking place in front of the building.
Slides applied to the display window are perceived from outside as a strict matrix. At the same time, they serve as a visualization of multifaceted reality of earth. The daylight streams into the space behind them, elevating it like a cathedral with windows through which the light streams inside, transforming the church into atranscendental space.
